Sam Raimi’s “Drag Me To Hell” will hit stores in unrated and original theatrical cuts on DVD and Blu-ray Oct. 13, according to Universal Home Entertainment.
Unfortunately, no news is available on what footage the unrated version will include.
After years directing the “Spiderman” franchise and serving as a producer, “Drag Me To Hell” marks Raimi’s long awaited return to horror film directing.
The film stars Alison Lohman as Christine Brown, a bank employee who suffers a supernatural curse after declining to adjust the loan of an elderly woman. With only a limited time to thwart the curse, Christine turns to a seer to save her soul as she struggles to overcome the evil forces hounding her.
The anamorphic widescreen transfers will feature Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and Dolby Digital stereo tracks on the DVD, and DTS HD 5.1 Master audio and Dolby Digital stereo on the Blu-ray.
The DVD will be a single disc, featuring: “Production Diaries,” an extensive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film, including special FX and makeup, sound design and more.
The Blu-ray will include that supplement plus BD-Live accessibility to download additional on-line content, a “My Scenes Sharing” feature and a second disc containing a digital copy of the movie.
“Drag Me To Hell’s” retail price is $29.98 for the DVD and $39.98 for the Blu-ray.
